Bivariate inductive statistics - interval and binary variables - independent groups

Unpaired (two sample) t-test

Student's t-test compares the means of two groups. Significant difference means that interval variable depends on binary variable (group). With small samples we must assume that the observations have been drawn from a normal distribution. Test of this assumption will be made automatically. If your data violate the assumption, non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test will be available. Mann-Whitney U test compares medians instead of the means. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test compares two distribution functions.

Example: We have two pizza companies. From random sample we'd like to decide whether there is a difference in delivery times.
